Users holding Lido (w)stETH can now exit their positions instantly directly through the Lido UI. By utilizing the integrated CoW Protocol widget on the Lido website, the process of converting staked ETH into ETH - or other liquid tokens - is completely streamlined.
The native unstaking process may take days, depending on various network factors. Alternatively, holders often have to navigate to external third-party platforms to find the necessary liquidity to swap stETH or wstETH back to ETH.
To eliminate waiting times and simplify the user journey, the Lido website offers an integrated fast withdrawal option. By integrating the CoW Swap widget, users can instantly swap stETH or wstETH for ETH (or a variety of other tokens, e.g., WETH, USDC, USDT, USDS, or WBTC) at prevailing market rates.
Unstake ETH via Fast Swaps
Navigate to stake.lido.fi/withdrawals/request.
Select "Use DEX".
Select the asset to be swapped (stETH or wstETH).
Choose the desired receiving token in the list.
Review the quoted rate and click "Swap" to complete the transaction.
Notes
Unlike the Lido native withdrawal process which aims for a 1:1 ratio, swaps occur at prevailing market rates. This rate may fluctuate based on market volatility and could differ from the protocol's underlying ETH backing.
To protect users from unfavorable execution, the native widget will disable the swap if the price impact or slippage exceeds 3%. For trades requiring custom slippage settings, users should visit the CoWswap website.
