Lido offers a native way for stakers to withdraw their ETH and it is available for both stETH and wstETH holders. Visit stake.lido.fi/withdrawals/request to get started with the ETH withdrawal process.
To unstake stETH or wstETH, you have to:
Submit your withdrawal request.
Wait for fulfilment.
Claim your ETH.
1. Submit your withdrawal request
To begin the withdrawal process, you first need to submit a Lido withdrawal request. To do this:
Visit stake.lido.fi/withdrawals/request and connect to your wallet.
Choose stETH or wstETH and the amount to withdraw, then press ‘Request withdrawal’.
Approve the allowance by signing the transaction.
Confirm the withdrawal transaction.
After the confirmation, an NFT representing the request is minted for you.
Note: When you request to withdraw wstETH, your wrapped tokens are automatically converted into stETH, which then gets withdrawn into ETH. You do not need to unwrap your wstETH prior to unstaking.
2. Wait for fulfilment
Withdrawal fulfilment normally takes between 1 - 5 days. After that, you can claim your ETH following the steps outlined below.
3. Claim your ETH
Once your withdrawal fulfilment is complete, follow the steps below to finalise your withdrawal:
Visit stake.lido.fi/withdrawals/claim and connect to your wallet.
Select any or all requests available to claim in the list, then press ‘Claim’.
Confirm the transaction using your wallet.
After the confirmation, you can see all ETH in your wallet.
If you don’t want to wait for the fulfilment of withdrawal requests, or bridge wstETH from L2s to Ethereum for unstaking, you still could swap stETH or wstETH for other assets via decentralised exchanges or aggregators (e.g. 1inch, CoW Swap, ParaSwap) for instant withdrawals.
